Communication is to respect human intellect. If I respect the human intellect, I acquire knowledge, I will go for words which convey rather than words which are meant to impress. The faculty of reason is available only in Man. Intellect is the faculty of reasoning in us. All other living beings are denied this faculty. For this reason alone we are superior to other beings. But I am ashamed to tell all of you that in the past I did not care to develop my reasoning or thinking faculty. I did not realize that thinking is skilled work. On the contrary, I believed that thinking is a natural process like breathing or eating. I felt that I can think and think clearly without putting is any effort on my part. Today I am convinced after my experiments in personal and official work to develop the faculty of thinking and reasoning, I need to devote as much time and effort to it as I would to learning any other skilled work.
In the world today few have developed this art of thinking. Most human beings possess groundless beliefs. Their beliefs rest upon mere Tradition or someone’s bare assertion unsupported by any proof? Many of my strongest beliefs had taken roots in my early childhood. I found an answer with conviction only today using my own experience and Faculty of reasoning. With these facts in mind look at the present day working in organizations, one set of people are hawking morality and principles with their own percepts. Another set is blindly accepting it without reasoning or after experimenting it. People are affected with worries and anxieties. They undergo mental tension for what they think they are not responsible for. They suffer from strain and stress of life. We have to under to all tests of logic. It complies with the principles of sound Judgment. Those that are acceptable to our reason we should apply it in our day to day activities. Verify their authenticity and then only come to conclusion. And with this personal experience if we delve deeper into truths of reasoning, I feel we would definitely succeed.
